  • Celebration of Life Scholarship

    • for any Arkansas senior whose life has been affected by cancer

  • Textbook Brokers Scholarship
    • $250 scholarship for book rental
    • must be attending ATU Russellville or Ozark
    • Applications available in the counselor's office
    • Deadline is March 15th

 

  • AAPT Ben Farmer Scholarship
    • $2,000 award
    • Applications available in the counselor's office
    • Deadline is April 10th

 

  • Arkansas Public Health Association Scholarship
    • must have plans to enroll in a field of public health
    • must have at least a 2.5 GPA
    • must demonstrate financial need
    • application available in the counselor's office
    • Deadline is March 16th

 

  • Regions Riding Forward Scholarship

    • $5,000 and $3,500 awards
    • minimum GPA of 2.0
    • Deadline is February 28th

 

  • Sonny Whittle Memorial Scholarship
    • $1,000 per semester
    • renewable for up to 4 years
    • deadline is in April
    • applications available in the counselor's office

 

 

  • Arkansas School Plant Management Association Scholarship
    • Deadline is April 1st
    •  must have at least a 3.0 GPA and at least a 19 on the ACT
    • several awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000
    • eligible for renewal when  funds are available
    • application available in the counselor's office

 

 

  •  National Wood Flooring Association Scholarship
    • $1,000
    • must major in forestry related field
    • GPA of at least 3.0
    • ACT of at least 25
    • Deadline is Feb 1

  • ATU Creative Writing Contest

    • must submit creative writing piece by Dec 15

    • 6 ATU scholarships will be awarded: 1-$1500, 2-$1,000, 3-$500

  • National Beta Scholarship Program

    • over $300,000 in scholarships

    • Application deadline Jan 26th

    • must be an eligible BETA club member

    • betaclub.org/scholarship

 

  • UAFS Art Scholarship Competition
    • students will compete for a $1,000 scholarship
    • maximum of two works can be submitted per individual
    • more info in the counselor's office
    • Works must be submitted on Feb 23 or 24

 

  • Hagan Scholarship
    • for high achieving students who will require financial assistance to attend college
    • each scholarship is worth up to $40,000
    • must have 3.5 or higher GPA
    • must have at least a 23 on the ACT
    • must work 240 hours in the 12 months prior to the start of each academic year of college
    • FAFSA EFC must be less than $7,500

  • American Legion Coudret Trust Foundation and Garner Trust Foundation Scholarships
    • Scholarships of $1,000 and $2,500
    • must be children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of Americna Legionnaires

  • Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program
    • Recognizes outstanding community service
    • State level honorees receive $1,000 and all expense paid trip to Washington D.C.

  • American Legion Oratorical Contest
    • Saturday, March 11, 2017
    • $2,000 for 1st, $1,500 for 2nd, and $1,000 for 3rd
    • Department winner will compete at national level for prizes up to $18,000

  • Elks Most Valuable Student
    • 500 scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $50,000
    • must be US Citizen
    • optional scholarship clinic Sunday, September 18th from 2:30-4:00 @ 5504 Massard Road Ft. Smith

  • Horatio Alger Scholarship

    • up to $25,000

    • must have at least a 2.0 GPA and require financial assistance to go to college

    • must be involved in extracurricular activities and community service activities

    • display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
