The Westside Trap Team is open to Westside students who are in the 6th - 12th grade. The trap team is divided into two divisions: the Junior Division for students in 6th - 8th grade and the Senior Division for students in 9th - 12th grade. Members must have taken and passed a Hunter Education class. Trap team registration forms are available from Mr. Haltom or can be picked up in the high school office. Forms are due back to Mr. Haltom by November 17th. There is a membership fee of $20.00 due when the forms are turned in. Contact Mr. Haltom at ghaltom@westsiderebels.net if you have any questions.

The high school student council is hosting a food drive competition from Tuesday, November 8th to Tuesday, November 15th. We ask students from each grade to bring food items to help support our food backpack program. The grade level that brings the most food during this competition will win a pizza party during their lunch. You may stop by the library or look on Facebook for a list of food items needed.

Last week, Ms. Hays, our Career Coach, and Mr. Hatcher, our Career Development Teacher, took 8th graders, Juniors, and Seniors to the skilled trade expo in Russellville, AR. Students got the chance to talk to career professionals in many diverse fields and do hands on activities that helped better understand them what various jobs were like.
