2023-2024 Cheer squad tryouts will be held from 6-8:30pm on April 20th, 21st, and 10am on April 22nd*. Tryouts are mandatory in order to have a spot on next year's squad. Students must sign up in the high school office by April 17th, they must have a current physical on file, and entering the 7-12th grade in order to tryout. JC Westside Senior Beta will be hosting a fundraiser Saturday, April 1 at Atwood's in Clarksville from 10am-2pm. They will have 2 hot dogs and a water for $1, chips for $0.50 a bag, and homemade treats for $0.50-$1.00. Some of our Seniors attended Draft Day, hosted by Be Pro Be Proud, today with Ms. Hays, our Career Coach. We are so proud of them because it took a lot of work to get there! In order to attend they had to complete: 90 minute YouScience Assessment 4 hour Resume and Mock Interview workshop Bring a Resume They then got to sit down and interview for jobs with high-wage employers in the River Valley. Students were able to make connections with businesses and could be called in for second interviews with employers!

Student in Mrs. Hurts FACS classes used their sous chef skills to cut vegetables to make delicious chicken italian soup. Students also made from scratch cinnamon rolls. Arkansas Run for the Fallen On March 17-19, 2023, in a reflection of remembrance, a team of runners will embark on a 155 mile run to honor Arkansas service members who have died while serving on active duty since September 11, 2001. The run begins in Ozark, Arkansas and ends in Little Rock, Arkansas. Each mile of the run is dedicated to an Arkansas Hero. The run team stops at each marker where they present an American Flag and a biographical card in honor of a fallen service member who has died while serving since 9/11/2001 in an effort to create a 155 mile memorial trail through Arkansas.
