Rebel baseball finished their 2022 season with a tough loss in the first round of the district tournament. Lady Rebel softball won 15-3 over Mountainburg advancing to the semifinals of the district tournament. Tomorrow night they will take on the Lavaca Lady Arrows at 6pm at Magazine. They have also secured a spot at the regional tournament in Mansfield next week.
Last day of ACT testing for our 6-12th grade students is tomorrow! We know everyone has been doing their best, let’s finish well! Help you student get a good nights rest and done forget to charge their chromebooks.
The 2A-4 District Baseball & Softball tournaments begin this week. They are both hosted by Magazine High School. Best of luck to our Rebels and Lady Rebels as they compete for a spot at Regionals next week.

The Jr High Track team traveled to Acorn Tuesday and competed in the 2A-4 District tournament. The Jr Boys Won 2A-4 District Runner-Up and the girls placed 4th overall. Several kids came home with medals and ribbons. We are very proud of all our students that competed!
Jr. High District Track will be at Acorn on Tuesday 4/19/22.
The field events will begin at 11:00a.m. followed by running events.

The Westside Jr High Track team participated in the the Booneville Bearcats Jr High Relay Thursday evening. We had 26 athletes participating in the various events. Tuesday the Jr High team will drive to Acorn to compete in the 2A district track meet starting at 10:30am
Mrs. Hurt’s classes have been talking about eggs all week. Students have learned how to make scrambled, over easy, and an omelet this week. In honor of Easter we wanted the to dye some Easter eggs. Everyone had a blast. Great way to start a Thursday!

It has been a busy week for our JC Westside students! Yesterday our Senior Beta students traveled to Hot Springs for State Convention. We are thrilled with how our students competed, representing our school and all their hard work so well. It was cold, extremely windy, and a little wet but we held our first practice at the new trap field. THANK YOU to everyone who helped with setting up and with getting everything put up. Hopefully, practice will be warmer with calmer winds next time. The next scheduled practice is Friday, April 15th.
If you have not picked up permission forms for the upcoming trap trips, stop by my room and pick up the forms. You should have TWO forms. One is for the trip to practice at Jacksonville on Friday, April 22nd, and the other is for the Regional Tournament on either May 6th (Junior Division) or May 7th (Senior Division). These need to be completed and returned by Thursday, April 14th.

Mrs. Bartmier's Middle Level and Senior Level FBLA students traveled to Little Rock earlier this week to participate in leadership workshops and compete in various competitions. They also were able to squeeze in a little fun! Congratulations to Naomi Jennings for finishing 4th in the state in her Leadership competition! We are very proud of all of our competitors and they are already making plans for next year.
