Students in Mrs. Hurts', Food, Safety, and Nutrition class tried baking various chocolate chip cookies earlier this week. They then followed up with comparing the taste, appearance, and texture of the cookies to determine the best outcome for future baking.

If you would like to be on next school year’s 2023-2024 swim team, we will have practices on Mondays at 4:30PM and Fridays 9:30AM through the end of May. You must be in 8th-12th grade next school year. The practice will be at the Clarksville Aquatics Center. If you are interested or have questions, contact Mrs. Floyd at mfloyd@westsiderebels.net
There will be a 2023-2024 Jr & Sr High Cheer Parent meeting tomorrow (May 1st) in the high school gym. Jr High meeting is at 6pm and Sr High meeting at 7pm. The first Jr high practice will be Tuesday (May 2nd) after school until 5:30pm. The first Sr high practice will be Thursday (May 4th) right after school until 5:30pm.

Sr. BETA and FCCLA are joining together to host a family fun day at the Coal Hill park on May 13th. We will be selling hotdogs at the event and selling raffle tickets to pie Mrs. Sisk in the face and raffle tickets for gift baskets. There will be a charge of $5 for an arm band to play all the carnival games. We will have a dunk tank and cake walk as well.

The West Regional Junior Trap Tournament was held today and Westside Team # 1 placed 12th out of 79 squads. Westside Team #1 consists of members Preston Pelts, Baylor Payne, Hudson Bartmier, Devin Carpenter, and Jalen Floyd. There were 355 individual shooters registered for today. The top 16 squads, or teams, qualify for the State Tournament to be held June 2nd.

Get your dancing shoes on... ACT testing is done so we are ready to celebrate! Spring Fling Dance for students in grades 6th-10th, April 27th from 6-8pm.
